Ubisoft's new battle royale Hyper Scape has an intriguing way for players to interact with those watching their streams. It's simple to download and set up, so we've got a quick setup guide for you here!
Hyper Scape is the newest battle royale on the block, and it's finally out of closed beta. That means you can jump in right now and give it a try!
Sure, it's frenetic and challenging, but the coolest part of the game is that it's full of inventive features that you don't often see in the genre. Interestingly enough, you can use a special Twitch extension to alter what happens during live games.
Here's how you can actively interact with players to change the course of their game in Hyper Scape.
What is Hyper Scape Crowncast?
Hyper Scape's Crowncast feature is a free Twitch extension that you can download. It's a core part of Hyper Scape as a whole, and it lets streamers connect their game to their broadcast for a truly interactive way to play.
For players, it lets viewers get involved in each play session. For viewers, a whole new set of options open up while watching a game of Hyper Scape, such as options to look at streamer team stats and loadouts as well as vote on effects and other aspects of the game. It effectively turns Hyper Scape into something of an interactive game show of sorts.
How to download and install Hyper Scape Crowncast
To get started, be sure you're signed into your Twitch account and then open up the official Hyper Scape Crowncast extension page.
Look for the "Install" button on the top right and follow the prompts. Once complete, you should see a pop-up that says "Extension Installed Successfully!", which means you're on the right track.
There should be two buttons on this pop-up: "Continue Browsing" and "Configure." Choose the purple button that says "Configure" and you'll be sent to the configuration page where you'll need to connect your Twitch and Ubisoft accounts.
Once you've entered your information, you can close out of the configuration window by clicking the "X" in the top right corner. Next, look for the "My Extensions" tab in your Twitch menu.
Click the Hyper Scape Crowncast overlay and select the "Activate" menu. Choose "Set As Overlay 1". Then click "Done" to finish out your setup.
Now all that's left is to start running Hyper Scape. When you start streaming via Twitch, your viewers will then be able to begin voting and interacting with you as you play. Don't forget to put on a great show!
